From 22 to 23 June, UNOAU participated in the 25^th International Meeting of Mine Action National Directors and United Nations Advisers, held in Geneva, Switzerland.  

The event brought together over 300 National Mine Action Directors, UN experts, donors and other key Mine Action actors and stakeholders. The event consisted of five main plenary sessions and numerous side events, covering: Mine Action and humanitarian development; maximizing Information Management; equality and diversity; technical innovations and financing. Side events also covered project management cycles; the impact of the Russian Federation’s invasion of Ukraine; victims’ assistance and child protection. During the event, the UNOAU Mine Action Officer met with the National Mine Action director for Zambia and discussed areas of possible cooperation, with an agreement to hold regular follow-up meetings.
