Dialogue: Advancing the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) Agenda: Concrete Action Beyond 2020

Join the United Nations Office to the African Union (UNOAU) and the African Union Commission (AUC) in commemorating the 20th Anniversary of the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 (2000) on Women, Peace and Security in a virtual High-Level Dialogue on 30 November and 1 December 2020. The virtual dialogue will start at 1600 hours (Addis Ababa/East African Time/GMT +3) on both days.

Under the theme, 'Advancing the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) Agenda: Political Leadership, Partnerships and Concrete Action Beyond 2020', this virtual High-Level Dialogue is expected to bring together pioneers whose work continues to chart blueprints for building and sustaining peace in their respective communities, countries and across the continent. It is envisioned that these discussions will also present an opportunity to collectively identify ways to enhance the implementation of the UNSCR 1325 in Africa and developing a roadmap for greater collaboration, engagement and outcomes in implementing the agenda. There will be simultaneous interpretation from English to French.
