On 4 June, UNOAU participated in a panel discussion organized in the context of the Second Session of the Africa Dialogues on Counter Terrorism in the margins of the AU Specialized Technical Committee on Defence, Safety and Security (STCDSS).
On June 4th, to mark Africa Day 2024, a virtual event on "Educate an African Fit for the 21st Century," was jointly organized by the African Union Permanent Observer Mission to the United Nations in New York, the United Nations Anti-Racism Office, and the United Nations Senior Officials of Africa
The theme of this year’s World Environment Day is “land restoration, desertification, and drought resilience.”
From May 27 to June 3, UNOAU participated in the 4th Workshop on the Development of the African Standby Force Formed Police Unit Pre-Deployment Training Package in Addis Ababa.
From 27-31 May 2024, UNOAU, in collaboration with the AU and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), supported ECOWAS in the delivery of a pilot course in the Protection of Civilians (POC) in Armed Conflict.
