UNOAU attends Global Focal Point for the Rule of Law Webinar
UNOAU participated in a webinar for the Global Focal Point (GFP) for Rule of Law. The webinar was held on 10 February with an objective to connect rule of law practitioners in the field and at Headquarters, provide an overview of the GFP’s current structure, and outline the support that the GFP could provide to enhance collaboration among its partners.
Participants included representatives from the Police Division, Standing Police Capacity, Justice and Corrections Standing Capacity, Central African Republic (Joint rule of law programme and UNDP) and GFP Partnership with NGO Health through Walls. Briefings were provided on the genesis of the GFP in 2012, the works of the standing capacities of police, justice and corrections in both mission and non-mission settings and the mobilization of funds mainly by UNDP. This was the first of five webinars to be held this year.
