The 12th annual United Nations - African Union - Regional Economic Communities (RECs)/Regional Mechanisms (RMs) consultative meeting on prevention, management and resolution of conflicts started African Union HQ today. This annual Desk to Desk (d2d) seeks to increase common understanding on the root causes of conflicts in Africa and to enhance synergies.

Speaking at the onset of the meeting, SRSG Hanna Tetteh highlighted the need for collaboration to address peace, security & development challenges on the African continent and to achieved both the UN's 2030 agenda and AU's agenda 2063.
