UNOAU Interns

UNOAU promotes the inclusion and mainstreaming of youth across the UN-AU partnership on peace and security.

We work with the African Union Commission to implement youth-sensitive policies and programming across the continent, at local, regional and policy-levels.

We help ensure that youth perspectives are systematically integrated into AU mediation, conflict prevention, and post-conflict recovery efforts. Our engagement is guided by the AU Continental Framework for Youth, Peace and Security, across its five pillars: Participation, Prevention, Protection, Partnerships and Coordination, and Disengagement and Reintegration.

Efforts also seek to explore and leverage the linkages between YPS and emerging technologies as tools for participation, dialogue, and the prevention of hate speech.
