Africa Youth Day which falls on 1 November each year was observed by the African Union Peace and Security Council and partners during an open session on Youth, Peace and Security today. UNOAU Chief of Staff, Ms. Nathalie Ndongo-Seh delivered a statement on behalf of the United Nations. In addition to congratulating the African Union for appointing a new youth envoy, Ms. Ndongo-Seh highlighted three key steps that can enhance youth inclusion and participation in ensuring peace and security in Africa.
