UNOAU supports the 16 Days of Activism Advocacy Walk Against Gender Based Violence

On 24^th November 2023, AUC WGYD, UNOAU and UN Women organized and held an advocacy walk at the AUC compound. The advocacy walk was held to launch the 16 Days of Activism campaign with the theme, "From Commitment to Action: A Call for Accelerated Action against Gender-Based Violence against Women and Girls in Africa." The walk was intended to create public awarenessand draw attention to the issue of violence against women and girls and the critical need for prevention. AUC and UN staff, Ambassadors from different embassies and representatives of CSOs have participated in the walk. The walk was organized to amplify the message, leverage their influence and networks, to generate broader public awareness and support for prevention of GBV.
