1.  On 1 December 2022, the African Union (AU) Commission Chairperson, Moussa Faki Mahamat, and the United Nations (UN) Secretary-General, António Guterres, held the 6th African Union-United Nations Annual Conference in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.  

On 16 November, SRSG to the AU and Head of UNOAU met with Dr. Paul-Simon Handy, the Regional Director for East Africa and Representative to the AU of the Institute of Security Studies (ISS).
