The African Union Peace and Security Council (AU PSC) and the Members of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) held their seventeenth (17th) Annual Joint Consultative Meeting at the African Union Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on 6 October 2023.

On 5 October, 2023, the UN Security Council (UNSC) members held their eighth informal joint seminar with the African Union Peace and Security Council (AUPSC).

On 26 September, UNOAU facilitated a panel discussion at an event organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), to commemorate the International Day of Peace.
